Paste a Spotify public playlist URL — no sign-in, no OAuth, no Premium account. Music Library Doctor matches every track against your library and writes a real Rekordbox playlist into your encrypted master.db.
Tested on Rekordbox 6 and 7 (encrypted master.db). macOS and Windows.
Open Track Matcher (Tools menu or the home card). Click the Spotify tab, paste a public playlist URL like https://open.spotify.com/playlist/.... No sign-in or OAuth handshake; Music Library Doctor reads the public playlist metadata directly.
Every Spotify track is scored against your local library. Confident matches (≥ 80%) are pre-selected; medium-confidence rows are highlighted for review; missing rows show "Not in your library yet." Audition any candidate inline before you commit.
Open the export menu and choose Rekordbox. Music Library Doctor writes a native playlist row into your encrypted master.db — open Rekordbox and the crate is waiting. Missing tracks land as placeholders that Fix & Upgrade All can complete automatically.
Spotify's OAuth flow means handing your account to a third-party tool. Music Library Doctor reads the public playlist directly — no token storage, nothing in a cloud, no risk of an account compromise. For a one-time-purchase desktop tool, that's the right tradeoff.
Public and unlisted playlists, yes. Private playlists are intentionally off-limits — sign-in-less importing only reads what Spotify exposes publicly.
No. Track Matcher writes a new playlist into your master.db — existing playlists and tags stay untouched. Music Library Doctor takes a backup of master.db before any database write, so you can always roll back.
They land in Rekordbox as "file not found" placeholders. The Fix & Upgrade All button on the main view then finds each missing track on YouTube Music and adds it to your library automatically — with a live preview of the candidate before anything is added. Pro feature.
Title and artist are scored separately; title weighted heavier. Real-world false-positive cases (artist-only matches, "feat." chains, look-alike filenames) are pinned to Rust tests so they don't come back. In practice ~85–95% of Spotify tracks land as ≥ 80% confidence on a well-organised DJ library.
Match and preview are free — no card needed, no Pro lock-in. Sending the crate into Rekordbox is a Pro feature, one-time purchase from $19.
